Talofa Lava! I am honoured to bring you humble greetings from the Treasured Islands of the South Pacific, Samoa! My name is Gwendolyn Pona Tuaitanu, daughter of Mani and Vaililo Tuaitanu. I am 24 years old and the second eldest of five children. I am a strong, family-oriented person and I love meeting new people.
As a young child, I’ve always been curious to try out new things which have enabled me to discover the potential that I have. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, reading, singing and messing around with different musical instruments. My passion is music, because it truly expresses the feelings of the heart that words could never do.
As Miss Samoa, I look forward to sharing and celebrating with my fellow Pacific sisters the experiences of this year’s Miss South Pacific Pageant. It is indeed a blessing to be part of this wonderful event and I look forward to a rewarding experience that will benefit not only myself on a personal level but also my beautiful island paradise of Samoa which I am honoured to represent.
