Malo Ni,
My name is Joanne O'Brien and I am 20 years of age.
I was born and raised in Tokelau. My family consists of 2 brothers and one other sister, I am the second Oldest.
In my free time I enjoy listening to music, playing netball and volleyball and most especially spending time with family.
I am currently studying full time at USP, working towards my goal of becoming an Environmental Lawyer. My hope is that one day I can play a part in protecting and nurturing our precious Pacific resources.
I am proud and very excited to be representing Tokelau for the first time at the Miss South Pacific Pageant 2008 in your beautiful country of American Samoa.
I would like to take this opportunity to say "Fakafetai Lahi Lele" to all Tokelau communities especially to the "Fatupaepae Groups", my family and friends and to my pageant team for all your prayers, hard work and support.
Thank you for allowing me to proudly share with you all a glimpse of our Tokelau Culture, Tokelau heritage and our Tokelau legacy in the Miss South Pacific Pageant 2008.
Fakafetai lahi lele
Tofa ni
Joanne
