On behalf of the people of American Samoa I extend our warmest greetings to all the island delegates and our guests who are joining us to celebrate the 22nd Annual Miss South Pacific Pageant in American Samoa.
American Samoa has had the privilege of hosting three previous Miss South Pacific Pageants in 1993, 2000 and 2004 in conjunction with the our annual Moso’oi Festival. We will also celebrate the 2008 Miss South Pacific Pageant with the Moso’oi Festival scheduled for October 19-25, 2008.
The 2008 Pageant theme is “Pride in our Pacific Culture: A Heritage & Legacy” where together we will celebrate and promote Pacific traditions and knowledge that is the foundation of our Pacific identity. We invite you to utilize the official 2008 Miss South Pacific Pageant website to assist you in planning your visit to our Island Territory and to share in the pageant events.
